Performative Social Justice

I don't have time right now to write much about this, but I really want to, so I'll share this link for writing about later. Check out also the link to a post about "thought-terminating cliches", which although it doesn't conform to Wikipedia's sourcing requirements (that are a little too stringent lately IMO, but they do have a reputation to break) is thought-provoking and a good draft for an essay on the topic.

My goal in talking to people is to change minds. My knowledge on the topic is that you cannot change minds if they are defensive. Therefore, respect for boundaries and encouragement of logical thought are absolutely required, and therefore I greatly appreciate learning about rhetorical models like these.
